#FashionShowFriday : Gone Glampin’

Christina Galioto

This Friday you’ll find me glamping in Yosemite National Park! For those of you who have never heard the word “glamping” before, it’s glamorous camping. While some may like sleeping in tents and waking up damp and unrested, I prefer to be one with nature on my own terms..

What to wear to such an event? I wondered that too and I think I found the purrfect look 🙂

Anyone who knows me knows I’ve had a loving relationship with overalls for many, many years. When I think of camping or road trips or painting or November or pumpkins or horses, I know I have just the pair! Haha.  Meet my favorite overalls of all time paired with a turtleneck crop top in maroon to embrace the changing of seasons and transition into fall.

OVERALLS – Highway Jeans

TURTLENECK CROP TOP – American Apparel

With this simple look accessories are everything —

SCARF & FRINGE PURSE – Mimco (Australian brand, I purchased these items in Cape Town)

SUNGLASSES – Dita (Bought while drunk in Vegas, a shop is conveniently located in the Bellagio)

SHOES – Free People

EARRINGS – Some cheap vintage store years ago.

I don’t bring much other than skincare and clothing on a trip like this but perfume and my favorite lipstick are always a must.

PERFUME – Hermes Vétiver Tonka (It’s been my favorite fall scent since I discovered it while living in Paris) “The unrefined, rough, earthy scent of vetiver appealed to me. I felt a need to appropriate and reinvent it. I wanted a tender, enveloping, warm vetiver. What it needed was tonka bean! With its caramel, praline and blonde tobacco notes, tonka bean draped vetiver in softness and gave its woody notes a mellow roundness.”      Jean-Claude Ellena

LIPSTICK – Very Victoria by Charlotte Tilbury (The perfect nude & cruelty-free)

Gotta thank my Mom for the pigtail braids! It’s an easy style that keeps my long hair out of the way and gives me gorgeous texture the next day. Win-win.
